KEY DATES
If you are interested in any of the schools projects these are the dates to put in your diary...
Week 3 - Wednesday 22nd October:
6:15pm,
Faraday Lecture Theatre
INTRO TALKS: This is an oportunity to find out everything you need to know and ask any questions you might have about all of the schools projects.
Week 4 - Tuesday 28th October:
5-8pm,
CRB DROP IN: All new volunteers working with schools have to undergo an enhanced CRB check (even if you already have had one). This evening is when you can drop in at whatever time suits you best and we can help you fill out the form. You will need to bring your passport/ birth certificate and two peices of evidence of your term time address!
Week 6 - Saturday 15th November: (PLEASE NOTE THIS DATE IS A WEEK LATER THAN PREVIOUSLY ADVERTISED)
9:30am-4pm,
TRAINING: This essential day of triaing covers safeguarding, classroom management skills, personal development and a FREE LUNCH. All new volunteers must attend this day, we appreciate you forfeiting a saturday for us and in return we'll try to make the day as entertaining as possible. Not only is is neccessary to attend this day before you enter a school but it is also a very valuable thing to be able to put on your CV.
Week 6 - Wednesday 12th November:
3:30-5pm
SCHOOLS CONFERENCE: Finally, this is the chance for you to pick your placement. All the schools we work with will attend this conference and you will be given information about each and allowed to find the placement that suits your wants and needs.
SO WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Well... Having found your placement you will then have an induction with your school. This will be arranged at the SCHOOLS CONFERENCE and should happen in weeks 7/8. Your placement will then commence fully in Week 1 Term 2.
