Volunteer in the Classroom!

A chance to gain valuable classroom experience: Helping and motivating children to learn while benefitting from working with experienced staff.

Become a classroom volunteer and you will bring energy and enthusiasm into the classroom. You will gain a range of skills and experiences as you work with children in your chosen age group, sometimes as individuals, other times in groups. Your role will develop according to your abilities and interests.

Volunteer Role:

  • To provide assistance, guidance and encouragement to children or groups of children.

  • Any help the teacher may require with teaching the class.

  • To help the teacher devote as much time as possible to the pupils by doing admin tasks and cleaning up after activities such as art.

Skills Required:

  • A good listener.

  • An Enthusiastic and constructive personality.

  • To be able to commit to a regular half-day timeslot once every week.

Potential Skills/Experience Gained:

  • Communication skills.

  • Teaching/Classroom experience.

  • Confidence, Leadership, Teamwork and problem solving skills.
