Voltage Gala Event - 2006/07

Wednesday 2nd May saw Lancaster House Hotel host Voltage’s Gala Event. The evening was both a presentation and prize giving event, all the school teams came and presented their business in creative and informative ways.

At the end of the evening prizes were awarded…

Queen Elizabeth School took home the prize for ‘Most Profitable Social Enterprise’ presented by the Mayor of Lancaster Councillor Janie Kirkham and Voltage volunteer Sarah Butler.

Blackpool and Fylde College won the ‘Exceptional Team Award’ presented by Martha Jennings, Voltage Project Coordinator and Voltage volunteer Tim Hudson.

Blackpool 6th Form won both Exemplary Presentation Award, presented by Voltage volunteers and judges Farida Ariori and Laura Koscik and Most Outstanding Social Enterprise awarded by Pro-Vice Chancellor Amanda Chetwynd and Voltage volunteer Dave Dry.

The evening was a great success for all involved and the Voltage team were all extremely proud of all that the schools had achieved, including in total raising about £3000 for various local charities. Well done to everyone involved.
