Record number of visits completed

2006-7 saw volunteers completing a record number of visits. After in-depth training, students made calls to nearly 100 people. After talking with people over the phone about doorstep crime, students then made 45 visits to speak to residents further and fit door bars and spy holes where necessary.

Project coordinator Sarah Hinton commented, "this year the students have been extremely motivated and enthusiastic about their role on Safe. They have been in the office weekly to make calls and have regularly gone on to meet with referrals in person which has resulted in very positive feedback".
